Perhaps, I’m not rich and so spending a whooping $2 million on a single meal during dinner in Singapore would sound absurd to me but that’s the disparity between myself and the filthy rich dude out here.
Well, Russian diamond group World Of Diamonds has partnered with CÉ LA VI Singapore to plan a $2-million dinner—for two people.
The eight-hour experience includes a scenic helicopter ride, a private cruise, and a chauffeured Rolls-Royce before guests even get to dinner, reports Mashable. And of course, there’s the dinner: 18 courses of oysters, champagne, caviar, fresh Alaska wild salmon, and apple-wood grilled Mishima sirloin, each course paired with wines like a 1988 Salon ‘S’ champagne, a 2008 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, and a 1972 Oremus Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos.
The diners are surrounded by 10,000 roses and 360-degree views of Singapore, and provided a live band for entertainment.
There are personalized, engraved diamond-studded chopsticks, and custom-made designer armchairs that can be taken home.
As always, the dessert is the best part. At midnight, diners are presented with a 2.08-carat blue diamond ring named after Jane Seymour, as they toast with Louis XIII de Rémy Martin cognac and a fireworks display.
“This could be the ultimate proposal, an exceptional occasion, or simply a celebration of life,” said Karan Tilani, director of the WOD Group, in a statement
